The MC Passive is a post-and-beam system used to design modern curtain walls with increased thermal insulation. It is a mullion-transom frame made of aluminum sections with excellent thermal insulation parameters due to a special insulator placed in the space of the pressure strip or spacer, also located under the screws used to fasten the strip. Additionally, thermal separators are tied to the mullion and transom sections and are made of hard PVC with additional horizontal "projections" made of soft PVC to further improve thermal properties.
The visual width of the mullion-transom is 55 mm. A selection of mullions and transoms adapted for static requirements are available. Bending profiles and a wide range of decorative cover caps are also available and allow for a number of different visual effects to be applied on the curtain wall.
A variety of colors are available from the RAL palette as well as structural, Aliplast Wood Color Effect, anodized, and bi-color colors.
