OS2 75 is part of the OS2 family of systems that were designed to replace the windows and doors used from the nineteenth century up through the middle of the last century. This thermal break steel window comes in over 40 profiles, from just 27 mm to 62 mm and with a depth of 77mm. The endless variations of OS2 75 are great for architectural projects that want to design every detail of the window or door frame as you can carefully calibrate the edges to modulate the play of light and shadow on both the exterior and interior. OS2 75 allows you to create various types of openings that can be freely composed in infinite combinations in the glass curtain walls: the tilt and turn sash can have dimensions of up to 130 x 290 cm with glazing panels of up to 50 mm, with concealed hinges and break-in resistant closing mechanisms.
The performance of the OS2 75 thermal break system has been tested by the best European certification laboratories in compliance with the current specific standard EN 143531-1 regulations.
Design Variants
The small profiles of this system are meticulously designed so that the outline of every line and fold is essential for reaching very high thermal and acoustic insulation performance. There are over 40 profiles to choose from to provide a solution for any formal or functional project requirement and to create the desired window or door in detail. For glass curtain walls or three-dimensional facades, light screens, or doors and windows, the choices offered by the OS2 75 system are many and varied: the profiles can house flush-mounted and non-flush-mounted glass panels, enhance the borders of the mono-colored area of the windows that make up the front or render them imperceptible to the eye, and put together sashes with fixed panes or those which can be opened compatibly in the design of the façade. To better distinguish the various choices, two subsystems were created: OS2 75.1 and OS2 75.2. With OS2 75.1, the glass panels are not flush-mounted, and the profile of the frame emphasizes the perimeter of the sash. With OS2 75.2, the glass panels are flush-mounted, and the profile sections can be continuous, both in the fixed uprights and in the perimeter of the sashes.
System and Performance
OS2 75 windows can be inward-opening or outward-opening. The OS2 75 window is an integrated system with accessories, gaskets, and thermal break profiles with a depth of 77 mm that allow for a wide range of rectangular, curved, or shaped windows. Double glazing up to 50 mm thick can be installed. The system allows for the possibility of having the tilt-and-turn opening on the inward-opening window.
The sealing characteristics of the window frames are guaranteed by an open joint system with a central sealing gasket and an internal stop gasket on the inward-opening window system and a double rebate gasket system on the outward-opening window system.
Size and Variations
OS2 75 is a rebated system with 47 mm lateral sections and a 62 mm central section. For frames with multiple lights, a 36 mm thermal break profile is used.
Handles
For the inward-opening windows, the handles are available in paintable raw brass or burnished or polished chrome. The vitruvio square version is also available in corten steel in both the “T” and “L” versions.
For the outward-opening windows, the handles are available in paintable raw brass, burnished brass, polished chrome brass, and polished brass. The medium square version is also supplied in corten steel.
Hinges
The two- and three-leaf hinges for the inward-opening windows are adjustable and are available in galvanized steel, stainless steel, burnished stainless steel, and corten steel. The hinges to be welded on are available in galvanized steel with versions h.80|d.13mm and h.116|d.16mm being adjustable.
For the outward-opening windows, the three-wing hinges are adjustable and available in galvanized steel, stainless steel, burnished stainless steel, and corten steel. The hinges to be welded on are available in galvanized steel with versions h.80|d.13mm and h.116|d.16mm being adjustable.
